If they want to be a little goofy - I’ll take a photo.
If they want to show me the cool fungus on the tree - I’ll take a photo of them beside it (and I’ll capture that wonder in their eyes).
They want to climb their favourite tree? Show me! I’ll take a photo!
Bugs? Lady-beetles? Worms - let’s do it!
If they are going to have a snack - I’ll capture it - because THIS is the good stuff.

We’ve got lots of time - and kids love their snacks! As a mom of three and a retired outdoor educator and camp director - I’m ready for all of it!

After a while once they know I’m totally here for who they are -
-their faces will settle, they will fall into their natural rhythms - and THAT is when we’ll get photos that will move you in 20 years.
