Big Global Latch On Ottawa 2017 | Ottawa Breastfeeding Event Photographer

Global Big Latch On events will be happening all over the world on August 4 and 5th 2017. Ottawa's event, hosted by Andria Bell is at 31 Sutton Place, Nepean this year. The big LATCH (when participants will latch their baby) is at 10:30am sharp. Breathe In Photography will be there to capture the event on camera (while nursing too I imagine!).

This event happens over World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7) and is described on the official website as a "worldwide peer support and community development event aiming to strengthen national and global support for breastfeeding and to improve the health of children and women around the world".

The first event was in New Zealand in 2005 and has since spread worldwide. Last year, according to the website, there were 28 participating countries, 758 individual locations and 17,992 breastfeeding children latched!
